Acadiana Talent Community Collective
Acadiana Talent Community Collective (ATCC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on growing Acadiana’s music and arts economy. We provide artists with a professional space to develop their craft surrounded by a supportive community that offers mentorship, critique, business guidance, and fellowship. We offer artists structured growth paths, networking opportunities, and public showcases and performances that connect them with venues, funders, and audiences. This drives sustainable careers, regional cultural vitality, and measurable economic impact for sponsors through brand alignment, co-branded events, and transparent reporting.

Projects and Funding Opportunities

Youth Talent Showcase
After past years' successful Youth Talent Showcases in Lafayette, we plan to launch a monthly showcase featuring young artists aged 30 and under, in line with the Recording Academy’s definition of a young artist. This event aims to provide emerging talent with performance opportunities, industry exposure, and community engagement.

Songwriter's Workshop
The Songwriter's Workshop has been an Acadiana Talent favorite. We plan to hold workshops consisting of a full day of focused learning sessions, group feedback, and performances to end the night. All artists honing their crafts and interested in joining this amazingly creative community can sign up.

Battle of the Bands
Battle of the Bands is an annual event held at Warehouse 535 in Lafayette, LA. Local bands compete for the opportunity to play on the Biergarten Stage at Festival International. This is an amazing chance to meet some of the best bands in Acadiana and play at the largest free festival in the United States!

Songwriting Contests
In 2023, we started a monthly Songwriting Contest to foster creativity, collaboration, and skill development among songwriters. Whether we see you sharing your song on the stage, or learning and supporting the songwriters from the audience, we hope to see you at the contests!

Christian Music Concert
We are planning to organize a Christian Music Concert to celebrate faith-based music and artists. Faith is a core value in our organization, and we believe it is important to share and foster our creative gifts.

Sign Language Community
Nancy Nicholson teaches weekly sign language classes and incorporates music into sign language instruction to foster greater understanding and communication. We also host a monthly Sign Language Table event where attendees are encouraged to communicate without using their voices.

Open Mic Nights
We host a monthly Open Mic open to all ages, which has been ongoing since 2020, encouraging community participation and performance. Open Mic Night is your opportunity to test the waters of the music business among like-minded individuals who support each other and encourage everyone to use their gifts.

Regional Music Circuit
Louisiana has a rich music scene that Acadiana Talent hopes to promote all over the state. We aim to establish a regional music circuit connecting Lake Charles, New Orleans, and beyond, to promote collaboration and touring opportunities for local musicians/
